About the Author
Tom Lough is a West Point graduate and a ten-year Army combat engineer veteran, with overseas service in Korea, Vietnam, and Germany. After leaving the service, he and his wife, Posy, developed careers in education.
When their son, Kyser, was born, Posy became a stay-at-home mom and started a needlework business supplying kits to America’s historic sites and national parks. She also offers kits at retail on her website posycollection.com.
When Tom retired from university teaching, they moved to the Austin area of Texas, where he became active in music and entertainment. After winning a competitive fellowship from the Writers Guild Foundation, he became heavily involved in screenwriting. He continues in service to the Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Writing Program as a volunteer alumnus.
In addition to “Go for the Five,” he has several additional feature film scripts in various stages of development.
He has formed several professional networking groups for screenwriters and is currently researching the impact of artificial intelligence on university screenwriting programs for an article in the Journal of Screenwriting.
He is also experimenting with the intersection of artificial intelligence and the Amazon/Kindle self-publishing process. His books can be found exclusively on Amazon.
He enjoys composing meaningful music. For Veterans Day, his hymn, “Ever Faithful to the Call,” has become a regular choice for congregational singing, and has been recognized by the United Methodist Church Music Discipleship Ministry.
